Soroptimist celebrates Founders Day on October 3, 1921 when the first club in Alameda County, California, called to order its first business meeting.
Soroptimist has come a long way in its 100+years from a professional women's service organization that fostered "the ideal of service” to a global women's volunteer organization with a primary focus on economically empowering women and girls providing them resources so they may access life-changing education.
