The Dream It, Be
It Scholarship was developed to help female high school graduates off-set continuing education expenses. It can be used to cover any expenses related to post-high school education or career training including, but not limited to, two -and four-year
college, certificate training programs, and trades and journeyman training. One or more $500 scholarship is awarded annually in August. These are cash grants awarded directly to the awardees.
In 2018, Soroptimist International of the Americas challenged its clubs to expand
existing programs to help more girls and women. The Dream It, Be It
Continuing Education Award was one of our answers to that challenge. Originally
announced at the January 2018 Dream It, Be It Conference, it is our
first award specifically designed to help high-school girls overcome the
initial financial barrier to higher education. Applications for this cash award open May 1.
